Barbara originally trained for a degree in typography in the 1970’s. She then moved on to designing clothes and opened the first Punk clothes shop in Brighton called ‘Creative Enterprise’. Barbara started selling design to magazines and built up an extensive wholesale business in the 1980’s selling to Harrods, Hennes and other retail outlets as well as designing the Body Shop uniforms.

After having two children Barbara moved on to soft furnishings which can mean anything form cushions, throws or beanbags.

“ I have always loved fabrics and textiles, particularly fabrics with a 50’s kitsch feel, which is probably the best way to describe my work”.
