Kate studied and worked in textiles and illustration for many years before beginning to paint still life watercolours. Her style has loosened up considerably over the years and she now works very freely with the minimum of compositional drawing; this gives the paintings an unpremeditated look, which attempts to express the beautiful but transitory nature of the subject matter. |
