I am a textile artist and tutor living in Brighton and have been fascinated by textiles for most of my life. Having worked through most of the traditional techniques I find I am drawn to experiment, layering techniques where I can. I have written and teach various ‘Experimental Textiles’ courses up to level 4. Working with recycled materials is one of my favourite subjects. The redemptive quality of the materials is very attractive, making something permanent and hopefully beautiful from materials that have been thrown away. I enjoy working in three dimensions, moulding, weaving and stitching my rubbish to form bowls and vessels. |

My photographs of the textures of rust, sand, sea and rocks are playing an increasingly important role in my work. I lecture and deliver workshops nationally and exhibit my work whenever I can.
