TIDE-LINE FINDS
are made from rope, slates, driftwood, shell fragments and any elegant-looking pieces of rusty old metal I find when beachcombing around Brighton and Hove and occasionally other beaches on the South Coast .
This habit has developed since diagnosis of Parkinson's disease in 2003 and subsequent retirement from work.
These pieces have been described as soothing to the viewer and I am very glad they can bring some tranquility to other people's lives as well as to my own.
I am grateful to Kim for her encouragement when I first exhibited in the Brighton Festival. I have since also exhibited in a gallery on the seafront, and at the Chiddingly Arts Festival 2010, and the British Contemporary Crafts Fair, Chiswick in November 2010. Since that Fair I have been developing Tide Line Jewellery.
ALL profits go to Parkinson's UK.
Please take care - although the materials have been lightly cleaned, they are largely ‘as found’ and may, therefore, produce splinters.
